Parameter AUTOCLOSE

The parameter sets the waiting period for a new incoming message in a topic with status 🟨 support_answered before automatically moving to status ⬛️ closed. The value is specified in hours (default 48 hours).

Free Version Limitation

In the free version of Hotline, the maximum period before auto-closing a topic can be set to 48 hours.

Chat Monitoring Mode

When monitoring chats, after moving a topic to ⬛️ closed status, new messages stop coming to them, so it's important to set a large value as the AUTOCLOSE period - for example 1000000.

Data Format

The setup bot needs to be sent a number after selecting the parameter for editing.

Usage Examples

  • 1000000 = never close the topic
  • 1 = close the topic after 1 hour if no new messages arrived
  • 168 = close the topic after a week if no new messages arrived

For some use cases of the system, disabling auto-close is important.
